Tokyo-based video game development company that once existed. The pachinko game “Pachi-O-kun” was the company’s flagship title, and it also produced many hanafuda, pachislot, and sports games. In addition, the company localized games developed overseas. However, sales of software other than pachinko-related games (such as “Pachi-O-kun”) were sluggish, and due to deteriorating financial performance, the company withdrew from the gaming business in 2000. Although it continued to manage game copyrights afterward, it was unable to stem the decline in performance and went bankrupt in 2002. The game rights of Coconut Japan Entertainment are currently owned by Soft Vision, Inc. (formerly Soft Vision International Co., Ltd.)
